I CAN EAT THE MOON...🌚🌙 In memory of Aureliano Trujillo. 🤍
Life can be extremely cruel and unfair!
“I can eat the moon” was my Dads motto in life meaning “nothing could kill him” Literally. Not even his Parkinson’s disease which he was diagnosed with 20 years ago.
Dad was always a super hardworking, stubborn and old school soul. Sadly Dad suddenly took a massive turn 2 weeks ago and passed away Tuesday the 24th of March.
When I was a little girl I would pray every night that Dad would get better but every year that went by he got sicker and sicker...my family and I slowly watched his life and body deteriorate little bit by little bit. For those that have experienced someone with Parkinson’s or a similar disease would understand how unpleasant and awful the advanced stages are.
I wish a lot of things in life...
I wish bad things don’t happen to good people. I wish there was a cure for all sickness.
I wish Dad would be able to see what my future holds and walk me down the aisle on my wedding day.
I can sit here and wish and pray all day that things will get better but reality is...things won’t and can’t change. I try and change the way I think of situations. I’m giving myself some time to grieve but staying positive and being thankful and grateful for my health, life, family and hardworking, strong (and stubbornness 😅) mindset I got from my Dad.
Life can be cruel and unfair but I will continue to eat the moon with whatever life throws at me and I hope you guys can join me too. 🌑✨
